These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “the student,” or “participant”) and Acon Academy (“Acon Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your access to and use of our educational programs, courses, services, and website. By enrolling in a course, submitting a registration form, making a payment, or otherwise engaging with Acon Academy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use our services.

1. Eligibility and Admission Requirements

To be eligible to enroll in courses at Acon Academy:

- You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.

- You must be legally permitted to reside and/or study in Canada if attending in-person classes.

- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. Falsification of personal or academic details may result in immediate termination of enrollment.

We reserve the right to refuse admission or continued participation in our courses at our discretion.

2. Course Registration and Fees

- Enrollment in a course is only confirmed once payment is received in full or as per an agreed-upon payment schedule.

- All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

- Fees are non-refundable except in cases of course cancellation by Acon Academy or where otherwise explicitly stated in a refund policy.

- It is your responsibility to ensure that any required payments are made before the course start date to avoid forfeiting your seat.

Acon Academy reserves the right to modify pricing or course availability at any time without prior notice.

3. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers

- Cancellations initiated by the student must be submitted in writing.

- Refund eligibility (if any) will be based on the timing and nature of the request, in accordance with our refund policy.

- If Acon Academy cancels or reschedules a course for any reason, we will provide the option of a full refund or credit toward a future course.Course transfers (e.g., switching to another batch or level) may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability and administrative approval.

4. Attendance, Class Conduct, and Student Responsibilities

- Students are expected to arrive on time and attend all scheduled sessions as per the published class calendar.

- Participation in class activities, assignments, and assessments is required for successful completion.

- Disruptive, disrespectful, abusive, or dishonest behavior—towards instructors, staff, or other students—will not be tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action, including expulsion without refund.

- Sitting in on a class for observational purposes is subject to prior written approval and may be restricted based on availability, capacity, and exam schedules. No sitting in is allowed during examination days or in full batches.

5. Program and Schedule Changes

Acon Academy reserves the right to modify course content, materials, instructors, class times, delivery methods (e.g., switching to online), or locations without prior notice, as deemed necessary.

Such changes will not entitle students to a refund or compensation, unless the changes constitute a full cancellation of the course.

6. Intellectual Property

All materials provided or made available as part of your enrollment—including but not limited to course manuals, handouts, recordings, practice tests, and proprietary frameworks—are the intellectual property of Acon Academy or its licensors.

You may not copy, share, distribute, modify, or reproduce any of these materials for commercial or non-commercial use without express written permission. Breach of this clause may result in immediate termination of enrollment and legal action.

7. Privacy and Data Use

We collect and process personal information in compliance with Canadian privacy laws. By enrolling, you consent to the collection and limited use of your personal information for educational administration, communication, and reporting purposes.We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties without your consent, except as required by law or for operational purposes (e.g., payment processors).For more details, please review our Privacy Policy here.

8. Limitation of Liability

While Acon Academy strives to provide high-quality instruction and support, we do not guarantee specific results, scores, or outcomes, including success on standardized tests or immigration processes.

Under no circumstances shall Acon Academy, its directors, staff, or instructors be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from participation in any of our programs or use of our services.

9. Amendments to Terms

Acon Academy reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on our website or communicated to you directly. Continued use of our services following the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.1

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada, where applicable.
