From a single classroom in Surrey to British Columbia's most trusted French language academy — the story of ACON is one of purpose, community, and an unwavering belief that language opens doors.
Bonjour to Fluency — How It All Started
ACON Academy was founded in 2024 with a singular and urgent observation: thousands of newcomers, permanent residents, and Canadians in British Columbia needed structured, effective French language education — not for cultural enrichment alone, but for real, life-changing outcomes.
The Canadian immigration system rewards French proficiency with significant advantages in the Express Entry system, the Francophone Mobility Program, and the citizenship process. Yet the available options for serious, examination-focused French instruction in BC were limited, expensive, and rarely designed with the immigrant experience in mind.
Our founders — themselves navigating the Canadian immigration system — recognized this gap and set out to build something different: a French language academy that combined the rigour of post-secondary instruction with the accessibility and cultural sensitivity that newcomers deserve.
Starting with a small cohort at our Surrey campus, ACON developed a curriculum uniquely tailored to the Canadian context — one that addresses the specific language competencies required by the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) framework and the TEF/TCF examinations used in immigration processes.
Our Journey, Year by Year
Founded in Surrey, BC
ACON Academy was established in Surrey, British Columbia, with a mission to deliver high-quality, government-certified French language education to newcomers and professionals across Canada.
Launched Surrey and Kelowna Campuses
ACON Academy expanded its physical presence by opening two campuses — one in Surrey, BC, and one in Kelowna, BC — bringing expert-led French instruction to both Metro Vancouver and the Okanagan region.
Launched High-Tech Curriculum & Live Online Classes Nationwide
In July 2026, ACON Academy introduced its innovative, high-tech French language curriculum and live online class platform, making professional-grade French education accessible to students across Canada.

We are expanding our program offerings, investing in faculty development, and deepening our partnerships with immigration practitioners, settlement agencies, and community organizations to ensure that every student who walks through our doors has the support they need to succeed.
